Below are descriptions for the food being served throughout the conference.

 

Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday will have assigned groups. School assignments can be found by clicking the green button above "Breakfast/Lunch Dining Group Assignments".

 

 

Delegations may pick from a variety of restaurants near campus and the hotel at their convenience. Massachusetts Street, Lawrence's downtown district, is only a couple of blocks east of campus. Mass Street features many unique options for delegations to choose from that displays the unique character of Lawrence, such as the Burger Stand, Quinton's Deli and the Mad Greek. Additionally, there are mainstream resturaunt options such as Buffalo Wild Wings and Noodles and Co. Other distinctive and delicious dinner options are avaliable throughout Lawrence. A map of Lawrence dining options will be provided to delegations upon check-in.

Dining

Saturday/Sunday Breakfast

Delegations will be served a hot, full breakfast at the hotel before departing for campus and their home institutions. Breakfast will be served from 7:00-9:00am in one of the hotel's restaurants. Options avaliable for breakfast include:

  • Sausage 

  • Eggs

  • Toast 

  • Cereal

  • Fresh Fruit 

  • Coffee

Saturday Lunch

Delegations will be served lunch at Edkahl Dining Center, affectionately known as Mrs. E's, KU's largest residential dining center. In the summer of 2013, Mrs. E's underwent a 6.5 million dollar renovation in order to update and modernize the facility. Mrs. E's regularly provides food of all varieties and tailoring to all diets. Lunch will be served in two groups and is all you can eat. Options available include:

  • Daz-E Hill Grill: hamburgers, hot dogs, fries

  • Great Greens: salad bar

  • Copper Oven: pizza

  • Al Dente: pasta

  • Global Cuisine: Asian, Indian

  • Lenior's Classics: homestyle cooking

  • Delights: desserts, fresh fruit

Student Affairs Luncheon

If any delegate is interested in the field of Student Affairs, there will be a luncheon where where professional staff from the KU School of Education and the Student Affairs office will hold a luncheon will host a panel, answer any questions and share advice. There is no extra charge for the luncheon and will be hosted in a separate banquet room in Mrs. E's. Delegates will be served all you can eat in Mrs. E's.

Saturday Dinner, Banquet

The formal banquet will be held on Saturday night in the Kansas Union Ballroom. KU Dining will be catering this event. Options will be made for those with dietary needs upon request. The menu will consist of the following items:

  • Crimson and Blue Salad

  • Tuscan White Bean Salad

  • Grilled Chicken Pesto

  • Cheese Tortellini aglio e olio

  • Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  • French-Style Green Beans

  • Brownies

  • Roll and Butter

  • Iced Tea

  • Coffee
